Photoshop brushes: a free collection of brushes created by the best artists of digital art.
Someone wrote that “what counts is the idea” and that we should never have asked a writer what machine he used to write, or a painter what brushes to paint.
But it is certain that no idea would open up if there was not the artist who, with pleasure (and for his pleasure), makes his own fingers his brushes and no work would be a good one if there was not the originality of the own soul, and his own instrument.
The creative subjugates the talent to the brush that, a bit like the pen for the writer, is the tool that gives life to the idea and is therefore the basis of editing.
To date there are countless tools that a digital artist can use to make his own work and one of the best known, and undoubtedly among the most used, is the Photoshop brush.
Photoshop is the main program for the processing of photographic images (photo retouching) and images for digital painting.
It is able to perform high quality adjustments thanks to its many tools, which allow to reproduce in an alternative way the basic techniques used in photography laboratories, both for the treatment of images and for painting and drawing techniques.
The Brush tool of this software is without a doubt one of the most used, in fact, its use is not only advantageous in the photo editing itself, but also allows the artist to draw and paint freehand with a graphic tablet. It is a tool which one can truly unleash giving ample space to one’s imagination.
The variety of brushes is almost infinite and for this reason it is possible to satisfy any type of requirement (watercolor effect, airbrush, oil painting etc.).
The set of predefined brushes that the software makes available is therefore an opportunity to choose between different ways of applying color, whether gradual or with large strokes rather than shaded at the edges.
In any case, it is the starting point for modifying and molding new ones, thus creating personalized brushes, giving the brush that touch of originality, impressing its “signature”.
There are many different shapes and sizes as well as the purposes for which they can be used: drawing, retouching, applying effects.
We have therefore pooled our resources and we have decided to offer you, in one fantastic collection, the brushes for Photoshop made by some of the best Digital Artist, Matte Painter and Concept Artists of international level …. and all for free!
