The Art of Assassin’s Creed Origins

In Syndicate, players were taken to the modern world. Assassin’s Creed takes its players to a whole new adventure through history.

The Art of Assassin’s Creed Origins reproduces past stories in details using history but with a unique and tangible  style.

Ubisoft, with its artists and developers, hundred of concept arts, including sketches, final drafts and 3D render, takes us to an old fantasy world ( from Menfi to Alexandria and the great Pyramid of Giza). You can also find their comments in the book.

They are a clear understanding of how this game has been designed.

The Art of Dishonored 2

Dishonored 2 has its own art book. This video game is considered to have one of the best visual designs of the last decade.  

In this book, you will find concept art for characters, weapons and settings ( from first drafts and sketches to the ultimate digital painting) made by great illustrators such as Aime Jalon, Piotr Jablonski, Laurent Gapaillard e Sergey Kolesov.

The Art of Destiny

The Art of Destiny has only its place in the heart of few enthusiastic fans.

However, it is considered to have a great design.

This book, with its 176 pages of sketches, illustrations, characters, concept arts and setting ( just to mention a few) enhances all the different aspects of the video game.

Gwent: Art of the Witcher Card Game

Art books are not only meant for video games but also for cards games.

The 2017, Gwent The Witcher Card Game, edited by Dark Horse Comic is an example of art book for cards.

You can find hundred of illustrated cards. International artists made the graphics for Cd Projekt Red. After the book was published, they also created a 22 cm Gerald bust sculpture.

The Art of Magic: The Gathering

The Art of Magic: The Gathering is a bestseller with a collection of a whole new era of art books.

All volumes focus chronologically on The Rath Cycle, Zendikar, Innistrad, Kaladesh, Amonkhet, Ixalan, Dominaria e Ravnica. We had to wait 8 years  to see more volumes after the first one published in 1998.

They’re still working on the last one, which focuses on exploring  the big city of Ravnica. It should be published in January, 2019.

The Art of Overwatch

The Art of Overwatch puts together all the graphics of Blizzard for the online game industry.

You can read about the different creative phases of Overwatch in details and some of the most exclusive artworks as well as the developer comments.

There are two available editions of this art book. One has very limited access.
