Adam Murphy’s training as an artist dates back to his youth. This Animator was lucky enough to get a strong support by his parents, ever since he was a child.
Indeed, though his family had no artistic background, young Adam soon expressed his interest for drawing and creativity, and his parents recognized his talent right away.
At the age of 15 his mother enrolled him in a learning project at a Disney office in Sydney.
This experience enabled him to learn a lot about his future profession as an Animator: in fact, he had the chance to experience first hand the traditional technique of making animated movies, with support and guidance by the best Animators at the time.
Over time, Adam would go on to join the big Disney family and to give his significant contribution to the entertainment industry.
When you mention masterpieces such as The Lion King, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Bambi and Lilo & Stitch it is impossible not to think about him.
He also created storyboards and story artists for Legend of The Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, The Lego Batman Movie, The Lego Ninjago Movie and Peter Rabbit.
He has recently finished his work on The Lego Movie 2 and he’s currently working to Peter Rabbit’s sequel. Since 2013 he has been working together with his partner to Welly’s Wonders, a series of illustrations which conveys the essence of a sweet and simple childhood, where dreams and imagination evoke a magic world of furry friends and many different adventures.
