Canadian CG artist Daniel Schmid is the Environment Supervisor at the renowned VFX studio Industrial Light & Magic.

After studying industrial engineering at ITESO university for four years, he decided to lay aside his education background, to devote himself entirely to his passion for visual effects.

Over more than ten years, he built a solid experience as a 3D Generalist, Post Production, Lighting, Shading and Rendering Artist for several advertising studios such as Metacube, Omnilife, CGPreceptor, ExodoDW and Platige Image.

Since 2013, he has been working for ILM Vancouver, where he has contributed to a variety of major movies (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Transformers 4: Age of Extinction, Tomorrowland, Jurassic World, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets).
