Originally from Cartaxo, Portugal, Filipe is a motion designer and director who currently lives and works in Lisbon.
He began his career as a web designer and graphic designer, professions to which he dedicated seven years of his life, and then moved to motion graphics.
This transition is due to the fact that Filipe begins to feel tight in a world that perceives as limited, instead finding in motion graphics a way to better express his potential.
His dramatic and minimalist style was influenced by great contemporary artists such as Robert Frank, James Nachtwey, Gus Van Sant, Charles Eames and Frank Gehry, who showed him the power of photography and its use in the world of motion graphics.
In his freelance career, Filipe has the pleasure of collaborating with Studios such as Imaginary Forces, Blur, Elastic and Digital Kitchen and with brands such as HBO, FOX, History Channel and Marvel.
He has collaborated on TV series (Game of Thrones and Sons of Liberty), documentaries (Cosmos: A Space Odyssey) and feature films (The Amazing Spiderman 2, Thor 2, After Earth).
In 2018, just with Imaginary Forces wins an Emmy for the main title of the tv series Counterpart.
He also participates in various conferences and festivals both in Portugal and in other European cities.
