Jama Jurabaev is a Concept Artist, Illustrator, Matte Painter and Art Director native of Tajikistan.
Born and raised in that area of Central Asia, Jama didn’t have the chance to take a specific training path for this sector. Anyway, driven by his great passion for concept art, he began to spend all his spare time studying by himself, helped by lots of online tutorials.
From a spectator he soon turned into an author, creating his own channel, where he shared with other artists the tools and techniques he used for his creations.
His first significant professional experience was with MPC, where he initially worked as a Painter in the commercial department, realizing projects for well-known brands such as Audi, Samsung, Lexus, Mercedes and Nike.
He later moved to the cinema department working, still at MPC, for movies such as Guardians of the Galaxy and X-Men: Days of Future Past and later at Framestore, where he got more and more involved in film productions as a Concept Artist for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Beauty and the Beast.
Jama loves to work both in 2D and 3D, often combining those two techniques in order to overcome the limitations of both and to make his works as effective as possible.
