Karla Ortiz is a young digital artist born in Puerto Rico and currently living in San Francisco, California.
Born from a designer mother and a musician father, Karla has lived since her first breath in a highly creative environment and her future could only develop within the art world.
She began to draw from an early age, loving in particular the charm of myths, fairy tales and animals.
Over time she begins to take inspiration from the tales of the Grimm Brothers, from painters such as John Singer Sargent or Norman Rockwell, as well as from the Pre-Raphaelite painters and Victorian aesthetics, all factors that have stimulated her artistic process to lead it to be one of the most quoted digital artists on the world scene today.
With over a decade of experience in the field, Karla has worked in the film industry, videogames and illustration with clients such as Wizards of the Coast, Ubisoft, Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), Marvel Film Studios, Universal Studios and HBO.
Her expertise ranges from Character Design to Key Frames, from Cover Illustrations to Fine Art.
