War for the planet of the Apes, the making of - Nuts Computer Graphics

War for the Planet of the Apes is the ninth film of the now famous saga of “The Planet of the Apes”, released in theaters in July 2017. A movie that in the first week of its release recorded records, a success due in large part of the mastery with which it was made. The VFX present in this masterpiece is perfect and studied in every detail.

The senior VFX supervisor could only be him, Joe Letteri, CGI master and director of Weta Digital, as well as winner of 4 Oscars and 4 Bafta awards in his category. Joe and his team have produced a very high quality product and this is easily seen even by looking at a few frames in the film where appear the protagonists of the movie: the apes.

These computer-generated characters not only come close to reality, but they give the viewer a sense of humanity, a simple business.

The construction of the characters, their movements, their expressions drag you into a world that believes to be fake and all this has been possible thanks to the use of the technique known as motion capture. The evolution in the years of this technique, in conjunction with the evolution of software, has allowed the entertainment industry to work and offer unique products of their kind.

The mastery with which all the settings, lights, atmospheric agents and their interactions have been made and produced. War for the Planet of the Apes is an amazing CG product, made by some of the best artists in the industry with some of the best techniques available today.
